Choosing stroller is not an easy task for new parent.
I myself have 2 sons and every time we go out it is not easy when my partner and I have to bear with both of them.
The elder is 12 kg, 3 years and the younger 7 months, 6 kg.
When the stroller is not around, and the elder one refuse to walk it’s a burden to bear 12 kg children.
Stroller is a must for parent especially when your child or baby weighs more than 8 kg.
You can’t bear them for a long time especially in shopping mall.

Type of stroller.
Basically there are three types of baby strollers:
- Traditional
- All-terrains
- Jogging stroller
Traditional stroller usually has 4 wheels, it has basic features and you can use it for all purposes.
All terrain type usually has 2 wheels at the back and one wheel in front. The wheels are large with suspension and easy to handle but it is not built for jog purpose.
Jogging type has a feature of stability, hand brake, width wheel and long handlebar.
Here are the factors need to be considered before buying stroller:
How long you want to use it?
Generally stroller can carry your baby from newborn until 4 years old.
When your baby becomes more active and able to walk, you may think to change to lightweight stroller.
Another thing to consider, is your future child is going to use the stroller?
Brand stroller can last longer than cheaper one.
How you want to use it?
Are you using it for shopping and leisure, or exercising or going to the beach.
As I mentioned before, choose type of stroller that suit your activity. This factor will contribute to baby safety while travel in stroller.
Folding mechanism – is the stroller easy to fold and the size after folded, can it fit into your car or not.

Another thing, when it fold, it must stay still and all mechanism is not moving, so it will not break easily.
Manoeuvre – good stroller will help parent to handle it easily. The manoeuvre mechanism must be free and rotate 360 degrees. Some strollers are easy to manoeuvre when carry light baby but fails when carry heavy toddler (11 kg and above). Choose it wisely.
Straps – for safety reason stroller must have tether strap to grip baby when using it. Stroller without this safety feature could not fulfill requirement of baby safety product. Avoid this kind of stroller.
Choose the one which suit your need, do not rushing when buying because there are a lot of choices in the market.
Last, when you are buying stroller, please put your baby in it and try every feature of it.
